The B28 Whisky Trail

Travel the length and breadth of Scotland by savouring drams of five premium single malts that are selected by Mike Soldner, owner of B28, from each of the nation's major whisky producing regions — Lowlands, Highlands, Speyside, Islands and Islay.

The B28 Whisky Trail is an exclusive gift box containing five wax-sealed individual vials (30ml) of specially selected whiskies that offer a unique introduction to the smorgasbord of tastes, colours, aromas and styles that define Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.

The B28 Whisky Trail is available in limited quantity and is priced at S$228. Packaged in a vintage style gift box, it contains five 30ml vials of highly limited, single-cask whiskies: Littlemill 1990, Glencadam 1989, Dailuaine 1983, Highland Park 30, Laphroaig 18.

While other bars may offer ad-hoc whisky tasting sessions, B28 is the only venue in Singapore to have identified a particular flight of whiskies, and to offer an intimate and personal appreciation experience. Packaged in a vintage-style brown cardboard gift box, each set comes complete with tasting notes that were written by self-professed “whisky geek” Mike Soldner and the makers of the tasting set, independent Scotch whisky bottler Master of Malt.

“The idea behind it was to offer new whisky drinkers, or those who had had little exposure to the huge variety of Scotch Whisky, an opportunity to get out of their ‘brand’ or ‘taste’ comfort zones and try something new. The B28 Whisky Trail, produced exclusively for B28 by Master of Malt, allows my patrons to sample whiskies representative of each major whisky-producing region. Given the packaging and presentation, this experience is not limited to the bar but can also be enjoyed at home or shared with friends as a gift”, explained Mike Soldner.

He added: “And if you fall in love with any particular whisky in the trail then there's plenty more where that came from as we carry full-sized bottles of each trail whisky behind the bar."
