Pimp My Ride

I have been bitten by the driving bug ever since I watched the film SENNA. It has been many years since I have been driving and I now have the urge to get myself a car. Yes, a car, but not any ordinary boring car. The car will be an extension of my sartorial pursuit and has to represent my style.

Love at first sight with the Fiat 500 by Gucci. I received the 500 by Gucci catalogue in the mail last week... and I am now in love with a car!

Why Fiat and Gucci? Well, it is to celebrate 150 years of Italian unification and the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Gucci brand.

The car is the result of intensive creative collaboration between Fiat and Gucci, a co-design project where the work by the Italian designer label is devised to enhance the distinguishing traits of the iconic Fiat 500.

The car is available in two colour options of black and white. I have my eyes on the jet black.

I love the attention to the tiniest details and fashion references. Love the two-tone seats covered in Frau leather featuring the unmistakable "Guccissima" graphics.

The seat belts are in the signature green and red Gucci stripes.

Even the gear stick bears the Gucci double-G logo.

I love the signature green and red Gucci stripes on the exterior of the car. It makes the car design pops and breaks the monotony of black.

Those who know me will know that I will be buying the gloves to complete the look.

Perhaps some bags to match my new car too.

I have put my name down for one. Now I am just waiting for the car to arrive so I can take it for a test drive before making the purchase. I can't wait... In the meantime, I am dropping by Gucci Paragon to check out the 500 by Gucci accessories collection. Ciao!

  1. The jet black model is, indeed, stunning. The red and green stripes make it even more attractive. The Fiat 500 by Gucci definitely gets into the list as one of my dream cars. =)
